Blogger not displaying all posts on your blog? Here's the fix

Blogger's been acting weird again? Yep — but don’t worry, the fix is pretty simple.

Blogger missing post
Alone, by  Matthew Henry. Everything seems out of control

Ever set your blog to show, say, 10 posts per page... but when you check the homepage, you only see 2? Maybe 3 if you’re lucky? 😩

Yup, it’s not just you. This little headache is called auto pagination, and Blogger's been doing it for years. Basically, it’s their way of saying:

“Whoa there, this page is kinda heavy — let’s cut back on the content so things don’t load like a snail.”

It’s not about how many posts you set — it’s about how big those posts are. Long stories, giant images, fancy formatting — all that adds up and trips the limit.

So what can you do? A few small tweaks can go a long way:

  1. Use the jump break (aka “Read More”)

Add it early — like right after the first paragraph or image. This keeps your homepage light and lets more posts show up.

  2. Stop pasting from Word or Google Docs

We get it — writing elsewhere is comfy. But when you copy-paste, hidden formatting tags sneak in and bloat the post. Instead, paste as plain text and style it right inside Blogger.

  3. Compress those chunky images

Images are often the biggest culprit. If they’re over 100KB each, Blogger's like, “nope.” Use tools like TinyPNG or Squoosh to shrink them without losing quality.

Still not working? It might be your template. Sometimes it’s not your fault at all. Some templates are just... bad. Messy code, bloated scripts, stuff you don’t need and can’t turn off. If everything else fails, try switching to a cleaner, faster template built with SEO and performance in mind.

That’s it! A few small changes and your blog should be back to showing off all your posts like it’s supposed to.
